Jennifer Blessing specializes in young children's thinking about science, and how their thinking is shaped by peers and adults especially in out-of-school learning envirionments (such as museums).
Professional and Community Activities:
Blessing has recently expanded her work to include studying how college students best learn. She has published two articles with her husband on best practices for teaching general psychology, including how to incorporate technology in the classroom. She has also put her knowledge of children's thinking to use writing curriculum for the children's program at her local church. She has previously worked with museums on best designs for exhibits for children and families and has recently consulted on a project between two University of Tampa faculty and the Glazer Children's Museum.
