Gregg Bachman specializes in film, including film history and screenwriting.
Professional and Community Activities:
Bachman writes screenplays, publishes short fiction and is an award-winning video producer. He has been honored four times by Who's Who in American Teaching.

His screenplay, Out of Place, was a finalist in the American Cinema Foundation and Santa Fe national screenwriting competition. His scholarly interests range from oral history and silent movie audiences to contemporary filmmakers such as Woody Allen and Spike Lee.

He is co-editor of the book American Silent Film: Discovering Marginalized Voices. In 2003-04, Bachman was recognized by the University for his excellence in academic advising and by the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences for his excellence in teaching.
