Career Specialties: Gabriel Paez served as a police officer for the New York City Police Department. During his more than 13 year career with the NYPD, Paez served as a research/crime analyst and held various field assignments. His research interests include criminal justice policy, policing, program evaluation, public policy analysis and victimization.
Professional and Community Activities: Prior to joining The University of Tampa, Paez taught undergraduate and graduate courses at John Jay College of Criminal Justice. He is also a member of the American Society of Criminology and the Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences.
