Career Specialties: Alexandra Dermarkarian works with juniors, seniors and undergraduate alumni. She presents on various career topics in the classrooms, and also leads and creates professional development initiatives, including but not limited to the Etiquette Dinner, The Art of Mingling, Elevator Pitch Competition, Life After UT Academy and Resume Day events.
Dermarkarian has a passion for assisting students in brainstorming and strategizing ways they can overcome the various challenges they may face as they strive to reach their individual career goals. She provides an individualized plan for students and alumni and enjoys working collaboratively with other campus departments, faculty, student organizations and employers in various fields in order to maximize the benefits for students and alumni during appointments.
Dermarkarian has experience in various student affairs departments including residential life, student success and career services. Prior to working at The University of Tampa, she worked at Dean College, Nova Southeastern University (on both main campus and the Tampa Student Educational Center) and the University of South Florida.
