Career Specialties: Erica Yuen specializes in adult clinical psychology with a focus on cognitive behavioral treatments for anxiety, mood and posttraumatic stress disorders.
Professional and Community Activities: Yuen is interested in how innovative methods can be used to promote mental health. In particular, she is interested in how technology can be utilized to improve the quality and availability of psychological treatments. Her recent research projects have explored the delivery of mental health interventions through videoconferencing programs, virtual reality environments and self-help websites. She has also conducted research examining how acceptance-based approaches and mindfulness meditation can be incorporated into treatment.
Yuen’s research has been published in various peer-reviewed journals and presented at national and international conferences including those of the Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies (ABCT), the Association for Contextual Behavioral Science (ACBS) and the Anxiety and Depression Association of America (ADAA).
