Career Specialties
Areas of expertise: leadership, evidence-based practice, organizational culture, critical care and cardiac nursing. Kim Schippits is a health systems researcher with a specific interest in how to improve nurse and patient outcomes.
Professional and Community Activities:
Schippits has experience in the service and academic sectors. In the service sector, she has worked as a staff nurse, clinical nurse specialist, and nurse manager. Most recently, Schippits has worked in academis as a nursing instructor in both the classroom and clinical settings. She is also a member of multiple organizations including Sigma Theta Tau, American Association of Critical Care Nurses, Academy Health, Southern Nurses Research Society, Improvement Science Research Network and American Organization of Nurse Executive.
