Five University of Tampa students won third place honors at a
national meeting of business students in Chicago. The University’s
Lambda Beta chapter of the students’ national honor society, Beta Alpha
Psi, won third place in the Best Practices competition, which was part
of the society’s annual meeting in early August.
The team
consisted of Michael Dill, Jayson Garrett, Chedu Moyo, Jessica Newton
and Janna Williams. Chapter advisers Karen Squires, associate professor
of accounting, and Dr. Barbara Lippincott, assistant professor of
accounting, attended the meeting with them.
“This is a huge achievement for a chapter that is only four years old,” Lippincott said.
Beta Alpha Psi is open to students who have excelled in the fields of accounting, finance or information systems.
