The University of Tampa will hold its Picnic in the Park on Sunday,
April 15, noon-4 p.m., rain or shine. In case of inclement weather, the
picnic and activities slated for Plant Park will be held on the Plant
Hall East Verandah and in the Plant Hall lobby. The event concludes UT’s
75th anniversary celebration.
The day will feature traditional
games from the Tampa Bay hotel era, such as hoops, jacks and tiddly
winks. Models adorned in period costumes will stroll through the
grounds, and the UT band will play “Happy Birthday” while cake and ice
cream are served.
Parking will be available in the Plant Hall
lot and the Thomas and West garages. The Henry B. Plant Museum, which is
presenting the event with the University, will be open, and exhibits,
children's activities, minaret climbs and 75 years of UT athletics are
just a few of the events that will be available.
