Rogelio Morales-Garcia, an MBA student at The University of Tampa, has
been awarded the Orgullo Juvenil Hispano Award by the Hispanic Youth
Voice of Tampa for outstanding academic performance and for being a
leader in the community.
The award was presented at the Orgullo Juvenil Hispano 2007 gala on Oct. 18, 2007 at the Centro Asturiano de Tampa.
Prior
to starting the MBA program, Morales-Garcia worked for Nestle
Venezuela. During his five years at Nestle, Morales-Garcia held such
positions as sales representative, demand planner and supply chain
specialist. He has a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering from
Universidad Catolica Andres Bello.
Morales-Garcia, of Caracas,
Venezuela, is also a recipient of the National Society of Hispanic MBAs
(NSHMBA) scholarship. The NSHMBA prepares Hispanics for leadership
positions throughout the U.S., so that they can provide the cultural
awareness and sensitivity vital in the management of the nation’s
diverse workforce.
