The Princeton
Review is adding to its annual best business schools guide this year,
selecting it for inclusion in the 2007 edition of
Best 282 Business
Schools (Random House/Princeton Review Books, $22.95), available in
bookstores in October.
"We select schools for this book based on several
criteria covering three areas: our regard for their academic programs and other
offerings, institutional data we collect about them, and opinions of students
attending the schools,” said Robert Franek, vice president and publisher of
Princeton Review. “We are very pleased to feature UT in our book. We
highly recommend it to readers of the book and users of our Web site as one of
the best institutions they could attend to earn an MBA."
“We have had
tremendous confidence in our graduate programs for some time, given the depth of
support we experienced from the community and quality of faculty and staff
dedicated to these programs,” said Dr. Joe McCann, dean of the Sykes College
of Business. “We look forward to many additional excellent indicators of quality
like
Princeton Review’s recognition.”
“The University of Tampa
is the region’s next great university,” said Dr. William Rhey, dean of graduate
studies. “The quality of our graduate programs has exceeded their visibility and
recognition for some time now. It is satisfying to see our MBA program get this
well-deserved credit. This should be the first in a series of such regional and
national acknowledgements.”
The book includes two-page profiles of the
schools with write-ups on their academics, student life and admissions, plus
ratings for their academics, selectivity and career placement
services.
The book's ratings and rankings are based on institutional data
from the schools and on
Princeton Review's surveys of more than 18,000
students attending the schools profiled in the book. The survey asked students
about themselves and their career plans, as well as their schools’ academics,
student body and campus life.
Best 282 Business Schools is one
