The University of Tampa’s International Festival on April 8 celebrated world
culture through music, cuisine, dancing, student-created country displays and a
Miss UT International competition.
More than 500 people attended the
event, which featured Taiko drummers, Brazilian martial arts, Afro-Cuban music,
sushi, salsa dancing and more.
The University honors all of its students
and the cultural heritage they bring. The purpose of events such as the
International Festival is to enhance education through an increased
understanding of the lives and experiences of people in the United States and
across the world.
