Prize Winning Poet to Visit UT

Poet Steve Gehrke will appear for a public reading on Wednesday, March 31, at 8 p.m. at UT’s Scarfone Gallery. He is the third of six noted writers scheduled to appear this spring in the annual Writers at the University series, sponsored by the English and Writing Department at The University of Tampa. All events are free.

 

Gehrke is the author of two collections of poetry, Resurrection Machine (BkMK Press, 2000), winner of the John Ciardi Prize, and The Pyramids of Malpighi (Anhinga Press, 2003), selected for the Philip Levine Award.
