The role
of corporate culture will be the primary focus at the 2004 University of Tampa
Fellows Forum. Presentations will explore how basic beliefs and values can
affect success or failure in today’s business climate. The event will be
Tuesday, March 16, 7:30-10 a.m. at the Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center.
Speakers will include:
- John Allison, CEO of BB&T Corp., a successful North
Carolina-based bank that is buying Republic Bank in St. Petersburg.
- August Busch III, Chairman of Anheuser-Busch Companies,
Inc., which includes the world’s largest brewing company and one of the largest
theme park operations in the country.
- Jeffrey Sonnenfeld, Associate Dean for Executive Programs
at Yale University’s School of Management, and an expert on corporate culture
and governance issues.
The Forum annually features nationally recognized company chief executives
who deliver their perspectives on a timely subject. Its objective is to showcase
the University and the John H. Sykes College of Business, and to highlight the
University's commitment to the Tampa Bay business community. The format is
designed to stimulate and challenge intellectual thought, leading to a
meaningful question-and-answer session.
