Novelist Susan Perabo will
appear for a reading at UT’s Plant Hall Grand Salon on Thursday, Feb. 26, at 8
p.m. in conjunction with Quilt Coffeehouse Weekend. She is the first of five
noted writers scheduled to appear this spring in the annual Writers at the
University series, sponsored by the English and Writing Department at The
University of Tampa. All events are open to the public free of charge.
Perabo is the writer in residence at Dickinson College in Carlisle, PA. She
earned a Master of Fine Arts degree at the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville.
Her collection of short stories, Who I Was Supposed to Be, was named a
"Best Book of 1999" by the Los Angeles Times, the Miami Herald and the St.
Louis Post Dispatch. Her first novel, The Broken Places, was published
in August 2001.
