UT’s Collegiate Chorale, Glee Club, and Wind Ensemble will join with the
Tampa Oratorio Singers on Sunday, Dec. 7, to present the 18th annual Family
Christmas Festival at historic Sacred Heart Church in downtown Tampa.
The free concert, which culminates with a massed choir performance of
Handel’s “Hallelujah Chorus,” is a favorite Tampa Bay area tradition for
ushering in the holidays.
Also scheduled are performances of “Gloria in Excelsis,” “Domine Deus Rex
Caelestis,” “O Magnum Mysterium,” “Good Christian Men Rejoice,” “The Boar’s Head
Carol,” “Ave Maria,” “The First Noel,” “I’ll Be Home for Christmas,” “Sleigh
Ride” and others.
The show begins at 4 p.m. Because of its popularity, early seating is
advised.
Sacred Heart Church is on the corner of Florida Avenue and Twiggs Street.
