Orton Farce at Falk

One of British playwright Joe Orton’s finest plays, the farcical What the Butler Saw, is performed by six UT theater majors October 19-22 at the Falk Theater, 428 W. Kennedy Blvd.  Performances on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, October 19-21 will be at 8 p.m.  There also will be a Sunday, October 22 performance at 2 p.m.
 

Guest artist Joe McFate, well known locally for his work with Gorilla Theater and Stageworks, is directing the production, which also features scenic and lighting design by Richard Sharkey.  

 

General admission is $10, senior citizens and non-UT students $5, UT faculty, staff and students free with university identification.

 

The play contains adult language and situations, so it may not be suitable for younger audiences.

 

The program is a presentation of the UT Department of Speech, Theater and Dance.
