The
Institute for Estate and Financial Planning presents Wise Philanthropy and
Charitable Tax Strategies on Thursday, October 26 at 6 p.m. in the Sword and
Shield Room, Bob Martinez Sports Center. The program is sponsored by AmSouth
Bank.
The speaker will be John J. Brown, president of John Brown Limited Inc., a
firm specializing in providing educational training and consulting services to
nonprofit institutions. Prior to founding John Brown Limited, Brown was
associate director of the planned giving program at Syracuse University in the
early ‘70s and went on to create and direct the planned giving program at
Harvard University. While at Harvard, he founded the Planned Giving Group of New
England, an active organization whose membership is comprised of development
professionals from the Northeast.
As a nationally and internationally recognized expert and educator, Brown
lectures extensively throughout the United States, drawing hundreds of
development officers, attorneys, accountants, administrators and trustees to his
seminars each year.
Admission to this valuable seminar is free, but reservations are required,
since space is limited. Reservations are on a first-come, first-served
basis.
