Chapter of Global Finance and Accounting Association Forms at UT

UT accounting students have formed a student chapter of the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA), a global accounting and finance association that offers the Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification, which is equal to the CPA.

IMA Global President and CEO Jeff Thomson will present UT with its student chapter charter at the Tampa Bay IMA Chapter’s monthly dinner meeting at the DoubleTree by Hilton Tampa Airport-Westshore on Thursday, May 9, at 5:30 p.m.

More than 30 students, along with faculty from UT’s Sykes College of Business, will attend along with area professionals. The UT chapter is the Tampa Bay IMA’s first student chapter.
