UT Business School Dean Named to AACSB Accreditation Committee

Frank Ghannadian, dean of The University of Tampa Sykes College of Business, has been elected to serve as a member of the Initial Accreditation Committee (IAC) of AACSB International — The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB).

The IAC oversees the acceptance of eligibility applications, approves standard alignment plans, guides institutions in the implementation of the plans and oversees processes for initial business accreditation. AACSB provides internationally recognized, specialized accreditation for business and accounting programs at the bachelor's, master's and doctoral level. Less than 5 percent of the world's 13,000 business programs have earned AACSB Accreditation.

Ghannadian joined the UT community in July 2007 as the dean of the Sykes College of Business, which is an AACSB accredited business school. He previously served as interim dean, associate dean, chief operating officer and professor of finance at the Stetson School of Business and Economics at Mercer University.
