Career Specialties
Brooke Scherer specializes in various areas of graphic design, including typography, symbology, color theory, branding, packaging, publication and information design. As an active designer, past and present clients include the Museum of Science and Industry (Tampa), American Express, the South Tampa Chamber of Commerce, as well as many local and regional businesses. Scherer is also an active design researcher; her primary focus consists of culture as it relates to visual communication, as well as sustainability in design.
Professional and Community Activities:
Scherer is a member of many field organizations, including AIGA, CAA, UCDA, SECAC and VRA. She is published in Open Inquiry Archive, and is active in presenting scholarly work at both national and international conferences. She is currently studying the integration and benefits of technology and social media within the design classroom.
