Hengwei Zhang’s research interests include design science research, decision support system, IT management, cybersecurity, health informatics, data visualization, machine learning and data mining (especially mining the electronic health record).
Professional and Community Activities
Zhang’s research stems from the extreme interest in diversity, interdisciplinary and practical-oriented research to address socio-technical issues and solve real-world problems.
Zhang’s research can be classified into two fields: 1) embedding advanced analytics (e.g., data mining, data visualization, analytic pipeline, machine learning, etc.) into a business process; and 2) managing and adopting IT technologies and innovations (e.g., disruptive technologies, cybersecurity management, etc.) to deliver business values.
