Yuen specializes in adult clinical psychology with a focus on cognitive behavioral treatments for anxiety, mood and posttraumatic stress disorders.
Professional and Community Activities
Yuen conducts clinical research on mental health, acceptance and mindfulness-based interventions, and the stigma of mental illness. In particular, she is interested in how innovative methods and modern technology can be utilized to promote mental health and reduce barriers to treatment. Her recent research has explored the effects of internet use on mental health and help-seeking attitudes. She has also researched the delivery of mental health interventions through videoconferencing programs, virtual reality environments and self-help websites.
Yuen’s research has been published in various peer-reviewed journals and presented at national and international conferences including those of the Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies (ABCT), the Association for Contextual Behavioral Science (ACBS) and the Anxiety and Depression Association of America (ADAA).
