Career Specialties
Margaret Tudor's areas of academic interest are sport marketing and fundraising, communication in sport, sport facility design and management, risk management and legal issues in sport, organizational behavior and leadership in sport, and organization and administration of sport. Her overall objective in teaching is to help shape our future leaders of the sport industry.Professional and Community Activities
Tudor has developed research interests in intercollegiate athletics and academics, student-athlete motivation, stereotype threat in higher education, governance of intercollegiate athletics and professional sport culture. She has actively presented her research and academic interests at various conferences, including "The relationship between racial and athletic identity, racial discrimination and stereotype threat for college athletes," presented at the CSRi Conference on Collegiate Athletics; "Recreation and sports facility maintenance and design," presented at the Arkansas Recreation and Parks Association Annual Conference; and "Does gender significantly predict academic/athletic motivation among college athletes?" presented at the CSRi Conference on Collegiate Athletics.

In addition to her teaching responsibilities and research interests, she has always been passionate about service to both the institution and community. In the past few years, she continued to provide service to the institution and the community by volunteering in several areas, some of which include working with the Boys and Girls Club of Arkadelphia, the Community Enrichment Center, leading students in volunteer service opportunities such as "Reddie to Serve" and "Cleaning up DeGray Lake," and working closely with the Athletic Department in providing consulting services to the various athletic teams and individual athletes. She has also served on several committees such as the Faculty Senate and been a mentor in the McNair mentor program.
