Abraham Miller specializes in the phylogeography and behavioral ecology of scorpions. He uses genetic techniques, scanning electron microscopy and behavioral experiments to address evolutionary ecological questions. Additionally, he has carried out studies focused on human performance and sexual selection behavior in humans.Professional and Community Activities
Miller has been a member of the American Arachnology Society, Animal Behavior Society, Society for Integrative and Comparative Biology, Florida Academy of Sciences, International Biogeography Society, National Strength and Conditioning Association, European Human Behaviour and Evolution Association, Human Behavior and Evolution Society.Miller has published in international journals and given presentations at the local, national and international levels. Further, he has served as a reviewer for the Biological Journal of the Linnean Society, Journal of Zoology, Genetica, Journal of Ethology and several anatomy and physiology textbooks.
