Bill Irwin enthusiastically teaches courses in biology and environmental science to help individuals succeed as knowledgeable students, skilled professionals and conscientious community members.
Irwin is currently focused on increasing equitable access to scientific information for everyone, especially those in traditionally under-served or under-represented groups and differently-abled individuals.
Professional and Community Activities
Irwin's research focuses on developing sustainable interactions between humans and our local and global ecosystems. He actively investigates technologies that increase food supply and security while conserving water, eliminating waste from human activities and decreasing fossil fuel use.
