Brett Hemric specializes in organic synthesis, focusing on reaction development and mechanistic exploration.
Professional and Community Activities
Hemric's interests lie in operationally-simple reaction methodology to access biologically-important scaffolds through novel and intriguing processes. He has published a number of papers on two different approaches to the amino oxygenation of alkenes and has recently published a detailed and comprehensive review of the subject. Hemric is also very involved in the community, supporting chemistry outreach events as well as playing soccer and softball in local leagues.
