Lacey Corey Brown has been teaching/coaching professional public speaking since 2010. She also has expertise in training and development, and in interpretive and critical qualitive research.
Professional and Community Activities
Corey Brown's research critically examines identity through strategic communication theories. In her most recent publication, "'Eat, Pray, Party!': Reflections on MTV’s Floribama Shore, the Florida Panhandle, and Floridian-Southern Identity" published in Departures in Critical Qualitative Research, Corey Brown explores her Floridian-Southern identity as it relates to religion, gender performance and reproductive politics.
Corey Brown’s service to The University of Tampa includes moderating an online training on “Dealing with Uncooperative Students,” facilitating LinkedIn workshops for the UT Entrepreneurs Club, and being a graduate advisor for the Master of Art in Professional Communication.
