Career Specialties
Autumn Brucato is a dedicated international education professional with more than 10 years’ experience working closely with study abroad students and international students from all corners of the globe.
After her formative experience of studying abroad in college in Sevilla, Spain, she moved to Costa Rica for a year to obtain a Teach English as a Second Language (TESOL) certification. Brucato remained in the TESOL profession for six years and then transitioned into higher education administration. Throughout the last five years she has gained extensive experience in education abroad program coordination, development, advising and recruitment. Prior to her role at The University of Tampa, she managed all operations for Florida International University’s (FIU) Inbound International Student Exchange Program.
She has traveled extensively through over 20 countries including regions of Central America, Europe, Southeast Asia, North Africa and the Middle East.
Professional and Community Activities
Brucato is an active member of the Association of International Educators (NAFSA), Diversity Abroad and the Climate Action Network for International Educators (CANIE). She served as a committee member on UT''s Values to Action Taskforce to help advance diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives on campus. Brucato's mission is to increase the accessibility of education abroad opportunities for students of diverse backgrounds. She is passionate about creating outreach programs for underserved students that raise awareness of study abroad and lower the barriers to participation
